Funded PhD project at UQTR, cosupervised by Eric Harvey, Christelle Leung, and Vincent Fugère. The project is about biodiversity trends (communities, genetic diversity, terrestrial-aquatic linkages) in newly-created rivers near Trois-Rivières, Qc. We offer four years of stipend (37K per year for 3 years, then 30K for y4), inclusion in two research networks (Uqtr RIVE and Qc-wide GRIL network), and a large group project in collaboration with biogeochemists, river hydrogeomorphologists, and an industrial partner. We have baseline biodiversity data for many streams in the vicinity, and are gradually assembling time series data for 3 streams created/engineered as part of an habitat compensation program. Your PhD project would focus on the ecological trajectory of these rivers (see pdf file attached)
