A 2-year graduate student (MSc) position is available for eligible domestic students in the Collaborative Lab in Environmental Aquatic Research (CLEAR) at Ontario Tech University starting May, 2026. The thesis project will study macroalgae biofouling in Lake Ontario using a suite of techniques including drone and satellite imagery as well as microscopy. This project is funded by the Canadian Water Agency in partnership with researchers at Toronto Metropolitan University and the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority. To be considered, applicants will have: an undergraduate degree in biology or environmental science; a full class G driver’s license; and a GPA commensurate with graduate school admission requirements. Field research experience and/or ability to work both independently and in a team-environment are assets.
